3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate SoScripted:

• OpenAI (Whisper) - for audio transcription processing. Audio data is sent to OpenAI for transcription and is subject to their data usage policies.
• Stripe - for payment processing. Your payment data is handled directly by Stripe in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.
• Google Analytics - for website analytics and usage insights. This collects anonymized browsing data.
• Google OAuth - for authentication. We receive your name and email from Google when you sign in.
• Cloudflare Turnstile - for bot protection. This service processes browser signals to verify human visitors.

4. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and analyze site usage. Essential cookies are required for the service to function (e.g., authentication session cookies). Analytics cookies from Google Analytics help us understand how visitors interact with our site. We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Transcription data (video URLs and generated transcripts) is stored for your access and may be deleted upon request. Temporary audio files used during transcription are deleted immediately after processing. Payment records are retained as required for accounting and legal purposes.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. This includes encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication mechanisms, and access controls on our infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
